Testing fusible interlining before placing a bulk order is one of the simplest ways to reduce production risk. Buyers should fuse a sample using the same press settings planned for actual production. Check for bubbling, uneven adhesion, edge lifting and changes in fabric appearance.
A good fusing cloth should support the garment without creating unnecessary stiffness or affecting the outer fabric’s finish. Test the sample across a larger panel when possible, as small swatches may not reveal how the material behaves during full-scale production.
Manufacturers should also evaluate whether the chosen interlining fabric performs consistently after handling and garment finishing. For structured garments, testing body fusing across the full front panel can provide a more realistic assessment. Retaining the approved sample gives the factory a physical reference when future bulk deliveries arrive.
