Sharmistha Panoli, a law student, was granted interim bail by the Calcutta High Court after being arrested for a video allegedly hurting religious sentiments. Her father acknowledged disapproving of some of her social media content and revealed her health issues. The court mandated she surrender her passport and cooperate with the investigation, also ordering police protection due to threats.
